Here is the newest flag case/shadow box that I just finished. It is called the Majestic. This holds a burial 5 x 9.5' flag case along with Medals and Awards. It is stained with Minwax Golden Peacan. New Flag Cases:

I have decided to make two more styles of flag cases out of Red Oak, but can be made from any of the woods that I carrie. They are simple designs but very effective. One of the styles you may have seen before , but the other has never been done. They will be blogged here when they are complete. You can also Bookmark my site and visit back at a later date to see them. Approximate release date is March 1, 2009.

Flag Case - Exotic Wood

Flag Case - Exotic Wood:

I happened across an Exotic Wood called "Padauk" (photo to be incerted later). It is an Orange based wood with brown tones to it. The special thing about this piece was its grain pattern. Now with most woods that I purchase, I purchase for the looks of the grain patterns. You can buy Padauk, Wenge, Purple Heart and some others "All day long" but if the grain isnt saying something or doing something interesting, why buy it? This is one of the reasons why my custom Flag Cases stand out from all others. I truly do care what I am putting out. If its not what I would want my family members burial flag in, its pretty much just fire wood.
