Lance Cpl. Andrew Carpenter

Lance Cpl. Andrew Carpenter

My family remembers Andrew when he was but 6 years of age, they say he always had a smile on his face. With the hundreds of people at the funeral home and thousands standing and holding U.S. Flags along the funeral persessions route, I believe this young man touched alot of hearts in his short 27 years! God Bless.

Lance Cpl. Andrew Carpenter

This was the most touching and heart felt funeral that I have ever been a part of, and I use to be in the U.S.ARMY Honor Guard. I guess because it was so close to home (Columbia, Tn.), and that my parents lived right next door to the Carpenters when Andrew was but 6 years of age. She has fond memories of Andrew and took his death like most have, with tears, sadness and shear disbelief.
The Funeral Home (Heritage) really did an outstanding presentation and guided everyone through this difficult time. I myself was truly moved by the total numbers of people who took time out of their busy day to stop and stand out along the funeral processions route, to pass their respects to a Marine who payed the ultimate price for our freedom. Even people who were caught in the side traffic, were getting out and standing outside of their cars with their hands over their hearts. It brings tears to my eyes just to think about all the love and respect that being shown for that soldier. It was amazing to witness this while in the funeral persession.
God Bless!
